Building Blocks 1: Money Matters

October 22, 2025 @ 8:30 am - 11:00 am
Free
A navy poster with white lettering saying: Building Blocks: Money Matters. Morning workshop with Mariama and Inderjit. 22.10.25 8:30AM - 11:00AM. To the right of the text is an illustration of 2 characters working together to build a tower of blocks

Making social change requires energy and passion – but sustaining that work takes resources, strategies, and supportive ways of working.

Join workshop 1 in this series to explore how you can generate income and diversify your funding without needing to become a charity or registered company. Come together with other community groups, grassroots organisations,  and experienced facilitators Mariama and Inderjit to gain the confidence and tools you need to future proof your group.

You’ll leave the workshop with:

  • Increased understanding of costing everyday activities and how to fundraise accordingly
  • Confidence to take into building a financial strategy in their organisation
  • Awareness of different business models
  • Knowledge of how entrepreneurship can be employed in other nonprofit contexts

Register for the first workshop here

We’ll also be hosting a Peer Lab, following on from each workshop. The Peer Labs have been designed to encourage further learning and practical use of the knowledge you’ve gained from attending the Building Blocks workshops. As a whole, Building Blocks is a free six week course, with 3 Workshops and 3 Peer Labs. If you attend each Wednesday, you’ll gain a holistic understanding of these foundational skills.

Please register to join the Peer Labs here.
