SUMMARY:'Signal in the Noise' - Six climate opinion trends from 2025 & what’s next
DESCRIPTION:Signal in the Noise is Climate Barometer’s annual publication that monitors and makes sense of patterns and trends in opinion on climate change. \nThis year’s Signal in the Noise is both a look back at the six trends from 2025 that defined the year in public opinion on climate change\, and a look forward to the topics\, risks and opportunities that will shape public engagement in 2026. \nJoin the Climate Barometer team\, digital researcher Ed Harrison (University of Bath and Horizon Intelligence)\, Rachael Orr (Climate Outreach) and Claire Brown (Larger US) in a conversation that will cover: \n\nHas public opinion fractured and polarised like the political consensus\, or is there a different story to tell\, to drive public engagement in 2026?\nWhy do large ‘perception gaps’ persist between MPs’ estimates of public support for renewables and what people actually think – and what work is needed to close them?\nWhere do the risks – and opportunities – lie in engaging Reform supporters (and Reform-curious voters) in the year ahead?\nAs ‘green populism’ has its moment\, how are voters responding to this kind of messaging?\nAnd with the drive for net zero becoming ever more local\, what new insights do campaigners need to stay ahead?\n\nDrawing on their tracker of public and MP opinion\, a new social listening analysis by Ed Harrison\, and the public engagement expertise of the guest speakers Rachael Orr and Claire Brown\, this will be an opportunity to build on the opinion signals of 2025 to guide the engagement strategies of 2026. \nReserve your spot to attend!

SUMMARY:Wild Times Gathering
DESCRIPTION:The Social Change Nest is hosting an unconference\, and we want you to join us! The Wild Times Gathering on Tuesday the 15th of September is our collective response to the wild times we’re living through; a joyful\, practical and energising gathering for grassroots communities from across the UK and around the world.  \nOur communities are facing deep uncertainty\, rising polarisation\, growing inequality\, and increasing pressure on the people and places that hold us together. It would be easy to look around and feel overwhelmed. Or\, like us\, you could organise an unconference! \nGrassroots communities have always known how to find possibility in difficult places. \nIn every neighbourhood\, movement\, campaign\, mutual aid network and community space\, there is extraordinary wisdom\, imagination and humour. There is also deep practical knowledge about how people organise\, protect each other and build something better\, and we need this now more than ever.  \nThat’s why The Social Change Nest is hosting The Wild Times Gathering. \nThis gathering is for the people who know that we are more powerful together. It’s for those holding communities through crisis\, fighting for justice\, building alternatives\, resisting division\, creating care\, and keeping hope alive in difficult conditions. The Wild Times Gathering is both a celebration and a call to action. By coming together to network\, self-organise\, learn and belly laugh side by side\, we can fuel ourselves to do the crucial work that’s needed to tackle what lies ahead. \nIf the world feels wild\, then our response must be rooted\, courageous\, creative and collective. \n  \nVisit https://www.wildtimesuk.org/ to find out more and get your tickets! \n
