SUMMARY:Building Blocks 3: Team Power
DESCRIPTION:Making social change requires energy and passion – but sustaining that work takes resources\, strategies\, and supportive ways of working. It is becoming increasingly important for supporters\, volunteers and team members to feel a sense of belonging within organisations they can trust.  \n  \nThe tools shared in the final workshop of this series will focus on the importance of effective communication\, self-awareness\, fostering collaborative mindsets and resolving conflicts. You’ll leave the workshop with: \n\nA better idea of how participants might themselves show up within a team\nIncreased awareness of collaborative decision making processes and inclusive approaches\nConfidence to take some of these tools into practice with your organisation\nAn understanding of cultivating a culture of learning and solidarity in your movement and how to effectively manage change\n\n  \nDon’t miss out. Register to join us on November 19th.  \n  \nWho are our facilitators? \nMariama Njie-Ceesay is a social impact leader\, trainer and coach. She is passionate about supporting marginalised groups\, in particular Black Women\, Youth\, Grassroots\, and Founder-led organisations to help them design income strategies that create sustainable impact. \nHer career includes leading social enterprise programmes at Coventry University which supported over 30 start-ups to launch during the COVID-19 pandemic\, earning her a place on the UK Social Enterprise Roll of Honour. She has co-created international training with the British Council\, worked on European social innovation initiatives\, and built inclusive entrepreneurship ecosystems across Africa\, Asia\, and Europe. \nInderjit Sahota brings over three decades of community development and leadership experience in the voluntary and community sector\, with a strong track record in advancing community cohesion\, social justice\, and sustainability.  \nHer work is driven by a deep commitment to empowering marginalised and underrepresented communities\, and her experience spans community organising\, programme management and capacity building\, with a focus on long-term\, sustainable impact. \nA creative and strategic thinker\, she is passionate about nurturing enterprising communities. As well as providing tailored one-to-one coaching and leadership development sessions that promote resilience\, self-care\, and strategic clarity\, she has helped numerous organisations become investment-ready\, unlocking opportunities for growth and the development of new social enterprises.
